92 blazer problem
i just got a 92 s10 blazer and the is something wrong with something. the problem is that when you go to shift into drive or anything for that matter nothing happens as far as going forward or in reverse. so i guess my question is what might the problem be or were should i start to attack this problem. thanks for any help... signed newbie

Sounds like the transmission is shot or at the very least has no fluid in it. Check your fluid levels (while the truck is running) And put in enough transmission fluid to bring it to proper levels. If that doesn't work, the tranny is probably toast and you should look into getting a used one or a rebuilt one. (Note: your tranny is a 700r4)

With shifter in neutral can you push the car back and forth? Could be a shifter arm off? Odd to have no forward or reverse at all. Does driveshaft turn?

Take the truck back immediately.
The transmisison is shot.
