I have a '94' lincoln towncar with 112000 k on it and i put in premium gas but when i put in cheper gas it feels very sluggish. The catalatyic converter sounds as if there is a hole in it would gas affect the sound? Should i use premium, midgrade,or regular

I believe your 94 book calls for 87 (american) octane. The higher grades will clog up your EGR ports, and tube.

Check Here, for instruction on cleaning the EGR channels. It's very simple to do and you will be AMAZED on the performance afterward.
