Question help.. fuel pump relay location

where in the hell is the fuel pump relay in an 87 s10 2.5L?

I believe it is right behind the brake booster, on your firewall. Should be two relays there. Should be the one on the left (the one towards the passnger side).

doesn't any one get the owners manual any more?

All that stuff should be listed in there, and that little book is suposed to always stay with the truck, even when you sell it.

Actually I didn't mean to vent at you, I just hate it when they don't include that little book, that can help us all out so much.

My 85 is just diffrent enough from your truck so it's useless to you otherwise I'd offer to scan the important pages and e-mail them to you.

i realize that, and my comment wasnt directed at you, its in general the the jerks that wont keep one more thing in the glove box, lose the damn thing then when they sell it say o well not my problem any more

i dont have a brake booster... manual brakes.... i have the original owners manual and the original scheduled maintence book. no aknowlagement of where the relay is located.

Go to Autozone.com. Chances are you can find the location of the
relay at their website

According to a Haynes manual I keep for reference it shows the relay on the firewall right beside the brake master cylinder, or booster, whichever you have. Even my 93 Blazer is set up the same. This book covers 82-93 s-10's. Should be just slightly to the right side of the master cylinder, mounted on the firewall. One on the far side is the fuel pump relay. They are little rectangular relays.
