How do I check my power steering fluid?

On my 1997 pontiac Grand Prix GT my steering is whinning a little and it's becoming a little bit tight. For the life of me I can't find the power steering resivor to check the fluid.
Can somebody tell me where it is or better yet paste an image.
Thanks,
Tplayer

Re: How do I check my power steering fluid?

Do you guys know if there is a recall on 2000's? I have had to refill my pump twice the past 4 days. The first time I refilled it the resevoir was bone dry and about half was missing two days later. I looked under the car and it looked like there was fluid on the boot for the rack. Does this seem like a rack problem or maybe a loose fitting??

Check the high pressure ps hose. Mine failed at 60k plus I had a small leak at the rack.

I was wondering what exactly the recall is for. What I mean is: what is going wrong? I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my prob, but sometimes my check tire pressure light and my ABS light come on at the same time, and when they do, it tightens the steering. If you know anything about it, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Actually there is one other for the windshield wiper motor. It just fixes the pin on the motor. Which actually, mine snapped off and I fixed it before I knew about the recall. Hope this helps.

You know, you'd think with 3 GP's I could get one with a recall. Maybe I'll buy a Ford, THEN I could get a recall.
