cavalier cold air intake

hello, i was looking on the internet for cold air intakes, they ranged anywhere from $150-$250, then i looked on ebay for cold air intakes and they ranged from $40-60, since their is a substantial price difference there, i was just wondering if they both performed the same, or what the difference was, thanks for any help

Re: cavalier cold air intake

Most here will say it won't matter. And they're right, it won't, performance wise. But fitment wise, it will. I know of people that got burned with those cheap ebay ones not fitting right at all, and I even got burned with a Weapon-R intake that was $140.00 I had to have a shop alter it so that it would fit in the engine bay, and so that the hood would close.

Bottom line, your best bet will be to go with an AEM intake. They look cool, you can brag about the name, and you know they won't take any shortcuts.

He is right you have to watch out what you buy on EBay but I bought mine with a K&N for $30 and it fits fine. You just have to watch out. I got burned on one that said it was a real intake and all it came with was the filter and a 2 inch piece of pipe it was to replace just eh box.

Re: cavalier cold air intake

Mine was made by a 23 yr old that i know very well and know it would fit like a glove... If it didn't he would have torn it down and rebuilt it back up to fit right.

Re: cavalier cold air intake

Mine is a Vibrant short ram. Fits magnificantly. I wouldn't buy shit off E-Bay. There's too many con artist dickheads selling all kinds of crap like modified hair driers labelled as superchargers!
