94 s10 4 Wheel drive problems

Hey, I also have had continuing problems with this electronic push botton four wheel drive garbage. I get it fixed and it works once or twice and it quits. This usually happens in the middle of a snow storm like we just had in MD, and yes it just quit again!!!!My question then is can I replace the electronic system for the manual on the floor shift? If so would it also solve the vacuum and actuator problems? Do I also have to change out the transfer case? Any help would be greatly welcomed.

Yes, it is possible. The problem is that you will have to remove the encoder and install the manual on the transfer case. It may be cheaper to go to a boneyard and get everything, transfer case, linkage and floor mounted shifter, as well as a few other things.
