h22 in a 95 civic coupe!!!
hey all. my buddy from calgary said he has a friend wiht an h22 with some mods done ot it (pushes 250hp at the crank), he is asking $2000 american, is that a good price? I'm pretty positive that it is. What i'm really wondering is what is needed to swap this engine into my car besides engine mounts? thanks a lot....

$2000 is a great deal. You will need of course mounts, axels, wiring harness, shift linkage, etc. IMO i dont really care for H22's in civic's because i think the motor is just too big for that car and can lead to some problems later on down the road. if you really feel like doing it...again $2000 is a great deal.

check out some of the older SCC Mags they had a H22 swap walkthu for the 92-95 civic "I think it was 92-95=)" anywho you had to do a good bit more work then a norm B16/18 swap your car wont handle the same with out tons of money dumped into getting the right setup
I think its a bad idea to swap unless you want a drag only or stright line driving car does that engine come with anything other then the longblock? if its just a engine I don't think its such a great deal but if hes giving you ECU Trans shift linkages and axles then its not bad at all its not a simple job to swap the engine so plan WAY ahead!
