Can you paint Rain Guards?

Was just wondering. I am thinking of getting Rain Guards but I want to paint them white to match my truck. Can I do it myself if? If so what kind of paint do I use? I have seen people around with them.

Re: Can you paint Rain Guards?

Are the rain guards flexible? I assume that you would prep them like any surface needing paint. Then spray with a good quality urethane or enamel.

Yes they are made of a high grade plastic. I am new at this so I would prep it with a enamel base coat then spray with the summit white plastic paint and add another enamel base coat? A clear coat?

I just don't want the paint to chip in the heat or fade.

clear coats tend to yellow after exposure in the sun, if you use a high grade paint and a single coat of clear you should be alright
