Question performance map sensor info???

does anyone know whom how or where i may be able to locate a map sensor for a 99 4.0L that will read forced induction. i'm thinking of doing silly things to my jeep. it will hopefully involve about 5 psi boost and some angry kids in hondas. thanks

Re: map sensor info???

I love my speed density setup. Keep me posted on what you are doing. I'm working on a turbo kit for the I6 motors and am curious what you are doing. I'm working with a T78 turbo and have the local help of Avenger Autopros if I decide to market it. 5psi for me will be easy, can keep stock engine management and possibly even injectors.

Re: map sensor info???

And you should be beating Hondas without a turbo...

Re: map sensor info???

most of the t3 t3/t4 hybrids are too small for a 4.0 I6. keep in mind that is what most of the Honda and Mitsu kids are using on 1.5-2.4 liter cars.

Re: map sensor info???

naah not a ricer idea i actually saw an unusual turbo setup on a camero that ran about 5 psi that put up 460 at the wheels with no mods ther than computer. besides i always liked turbos more than nitrous or anything else. its the only street legal way to bring mustangs into the low 8s

Re: map sensor info???

I can get spare exhaust manifolds all day long if you need one to cut up for fabricating your own flanged manifold.

Re: map sensor info???

i will keep that in mind, i am looking into doing some very strange plumbing with the setup i am after. the only problem i am running into is making sure that the turbo doesn't run out of oil and having a good place to put the inlet so a bunch of junk doesn't get sucked up
