Destop Dyno 2003 Question

Ok, I recently found a program called Destop Dyno 2003, it is pretty sweet you just enter the engine specs of your car and it tells you an estimate of the HP it should be putting out.

My question is this: the information you have to put in is pretty specific like what diameter valves you have, induction flow rate and camshaft specs. So where do I find that type of information? I have a 94 3.4L but was wondering if there is a website that has that kind of technical information.

Re: Destop Dyno 2003 Question

the information you are looking for will probly be found in your cars service manual. aftermarket companies may also be able to help you out with that. for instance with the valves, call up manley and ask for the measurements for a set of valves for your engine, and they can probly tell ya. As far as head flow numbers, i wish you the best of luck, you might have to have yours put on a flowbench to find out.

Re: Destop Dyno 2003 Question

If you want the hp and you dont want to second guess it just find a local dyno bro. Hate to break it to you but that is the fastest and most accurate way.

Re: Destop Dyno 2003 Question

yeah you can go through all that trouble and then you know how much hp you're SUPPOSED to be putting out, not how much you're laying down

Thats a sweet program, were did you find it? That way you can find cas on the street ask whats it it(if they tell you honestly) and you can have an idea what they got. Then you'd know if you'd want to race him or not.

Re: Destop Dyno 2003 Question

The nicest thing about the program is that it can estimate what certain mods will do performance wise to your car, so you can decide which mods are most beneficial for your car.
