Should I turbo my 96 with 104000 miles??

I have been told by some people that if i just strap on a turbo, i risk blowing my engine which i definitely dont want to do, and with my car having 104000 miles wat should i do to the motor before i put the turbo on, or should i just buy a turbo engine with lower miles???

Re: Turboing my 96 with 104000 miles

First off I would add your car to your sig. I assume you have a 96 gs/rs. I would do a compresion test to see how your its doing. You can't just drop in a turbo motor.

Im jsut wondering if its a good idea to go through the process of putting on a turbo with my enigne having 104000 miles. And if so, what parts would be a good idea to replace to make sure the engine doesnt blow?

Well, that all depends on how the car has been driven and how well it is taken care of. If you read Jake's post it will tell you all about what parts you need to replace and what-not. Even still, I would say regardless of the miles I would go with a new car, and just find one with less miles while you are at it.
