AM/FM radio alternator noise
I put in a new car stereo today and the alternator/rev noise coming from the FM/AM channels (cd's are fine) is worse than my old stereo (thats not why i replaced it, the old unit was dead anyway). I know the stereo has nothing to do with it, but what type of alternator noise supressors are available for the car stero? Where/how do they get placed or installed?
I'm sure there are enough stereo heads out there that know what to do, any info would help. Is the problem, maybe the poor quality of the alternator?? thanks in advance. |

Re: AM/FM radio alternator noise
You have a bad ground some place. Double check your wires, make sure your gound wires are tight and power, acc, speaker wires, etc... are good and not getting ground out. hope this helps.

Re: AM/FM radio alternator noise
thanks for the idea, but the ground is solid and all connections are tight and positive.
