designing exhaust...muffler inlet size

my car is a 96 civic LX. Im looking at Apex N1 muffler to use in my custom catback (basically header back on my car)....the N1 is offered in 60/90 inlet/outlet size for NA and 80/115 for Turbo. can i use, say 2.25 inch exhaust piping even if I had the turbo muffler?(2.25 piping attaching to 3" inlet) or do i have to use the smaller muffler? i would like to have the turbo muffler with 2" - 2.5" piping, preferrably. are there any problems with this?

Re: designing exhaust...muffler inlet size

shouldnt be problems.. just be sure to get the correct adapter or you can expand the end of your pipe to fit in the muffler.
