funniest race ever!

this happened a few weeks ago, but i was reading a topic about ricer flybys and it reminded me...

i had just went to cedar point with a groupd of friends, so instead of having my truck i had my step moms minivan. its a 96 plymouth grand voyager with a 3.3 v6. i had just dropped off my frinds gf so it was me, my gf, and my friend and i was heading to drop my gf off. i have the cruise set and im just going at a normal pace when i am coming up beside this car(it was a 4 lane)and i look over and the kid sees me and takes off. the car is a 99ish civic was a VERY VERY large wing, VERY loud ricer exaust and a million little stickers on the body(AEM, K&N, etc). well when i get up to the light about 1/2 mile up the road i line up with him. i look at him and he looks at me and i hear him revving up so when he light turns green i hit it and so does he cuz i heard him chirp the tires. well first gear we are dead even, when the minivan shifts to second i start pulling slowly, then when it goes into third i start pulling HARD, by 55 i had 2 car lengths on him. i laughed so hard i almost pissed my pants

laaaammee it was prolly a DX civic poser and he probably found some plumbing pipe and tried to weld it up 3" all the way back, but decided, i only really need the muffler, hooked up the muffler and pulled all the rest of the piping off to save weight, unknowingly releasing precious backpressure for his 1.6 liter econocar, then he saw the fast and the furious and plucked stickers off every modest car he could find and stuck them on his car, thank heavens this country doesnt' have Skyline GT-R's or that might have become part of his collection, he saw teh minivan and thought...i'll pass it just fo sho'

That's a very funny story. I wonder what his excuse was for loosing the race. Probably something along the lines of "it's set up for drift, not drag".
