to buy or not to buy?

I recently found a 1970 pontiac lemans gt with endura front clip for sale although it is fairly rough and the guy wants 2500 dollars for it, I have pictures of it but I dont know how to post them? I this a fair price for a very rough lemans gt it used to have a vinyl top but it is long gone and rusty where it was hood is all rusted through? Any advice?




P.S. it has a 400 with auto trans but does not run needs t.l.c.

First off, the '70 did NOT come with the "Endura" option. '71 and '72 DID. Be sure what he's telling you.
If it has a '70 GTO front clip on it, that by itself, is worth considerable money. The fenders (GTO-specific) are going for at least $400 each if not rusty. The front bumpers are going for about $500. Almost none of it is available in repro.
The '71/'72 stuff is not as valuable.
