How do I install this taco in my Hyundai excel?

Adding a tachometer gives you a slew of info on what is going on with your vehicle and is actually easier than most folks think. It shows engine speed, and can help you make shifting decisions, set the idle or tell you if your vehicle is losing traction etc. Its mostly more difficult choosing one that installing one. Adding a tachometer such as the Monster 5" Spit Fire (or any tachometer for that matter) should be quite easy. If I am not mistaken most of these aftermarket items should come with basic instructions to install it. There are quite a few ones in different sizes with many faces and scales. You would need to consider where the tachometer will be mounted to decide how much space you have. Once you know, you can get one that will fit the space. It should be easy to read and have a scale that matches your engine's operating range. A 10,000-rpm tach might look cool, but it won't be very functional if your engine never goes above 3500.

As for connecting one to your Excel. You might need to look at the Excel shop/electrical manuals to get a better idea of where and how to connect it properly once you get one. Being that Australia does not have an online version of the USA Webtech. I would suggest looking at the online information provided there first. Mind you, I do not know if there is any difference in the Excels sold over there compared to the ones sold in the USA. (I do not think there is much of a difference.) But at least it gives you a place to start and a reference of how to hook it up.
