0-30mph race : 04Cobra vs. 05MGT

Pulled up behind what I thought was a GT at first but took a double take and realized it was a white 04 cobra convertable belt driven. The owner was an older gentleman even though the road was slick he was driving excellent. He took the right lane and we both came to a stop light. Ok Im 27 he must be like 40 and the road was slick as hell. That cobra kicked the crap out of me. Damn Ice. It was cool though I had my window down and could hear the belt.

We had some clear roads for a few days so I been missing from the forums. It was a short race cus we were in town 30mph speed limit here and it was more of a 5 second race cus of the ice that why the belt sounded so cool. I cruised 2 evenings in a row looking for another one with the roads cleared up with no luck I wanna really give one a go I dont have a clue what this car will do yet. I know every kid in town with there little ricer cars are trying to race me well during the nice road conditions they get spanked every time its hilarious when they give me go after go thinkin they got a chance lmao. I did have a rough time kickin a 96 gt's butt but I just kept ahead of him the whole way to 60mph after that he caught up and blew by me cus I halted the acceleration (we were in a 30mph zone and I got carried away to 60 that was enough) I swear it only took 5 seconds for me to hit 0-60mph and it seems natural for it as well cus I never redlined it in the proccess. I better not kill myself this summer its a little too fun.

If your having a ruff time kicking a 96 GT's butt, then he's probally has a few mods or gears installed. Those are barely faster than 99~04 V6 mustangs when bone stock. The other reason why I say he has to be modded, because I know that the 05 GT's are a tad faster than the 03/04 Mach 1's. You have a mid 13 second car......those 96 GT's are high 14's low 15's second cars.
