Re: Another Seibon GTR. Sort of

Please bear with me as I try this WIP thing. Well as I mentioned in another post, I pretty much ruined the car stripping the paint after I failed miserably trying to touch-up the areas where I rub the paint off. That said, I ordered a new kit and as of this moment rain stopped my painting. So I decided to update this mess.

I have started on the interior, which I am trying to do in matt and nearly flat blacks with Tamiya XF-8 Flat blue highlights. This is my second attemp at titanium exhaust so fire away (gulp). I also trying to go for a dry carbon look and thought of not clearcoating CF. Is there a flat you guys would recommend? Enjoy

Re: Another Seibon GTR. Sort of

Just hit a snag. I had to find a diff place to paint since this white is very unforgiving. So in trying to touch-up and sand I hit what I thought was a dry spot and pulled the paint!!!!

I'm ready to put this car away for a while and work on something else

Finally got some more work done. I used agamo's tip for interiors using velvet paper and loved it. Thanks Agamo. Also worked on diffusers. Comments are welcome. Thanks for looking

I did not clear the CF for more of a carbon cloth look

Dash Need final touch-up

Nice work so far, the interior looks great & all the Carbon work looks good to. Fujimi did a great job of this kit, i just got it & love it. Pity about the lacklustre instructions

Re: Another Seibon GTR. Sort of

Well here is a quick update. I got the wheels like I wanted with carbon fiber lips Sadly they might be too small. I think the car comes with 22s so mine look weird. They are my 1st cjoice, but not the only choice so we will see...

Re: Another Seibon GTR. Sort of

Almost done with the body. Had setback polishing (rubbed trhu clearcoat at bottom of door). I tried a test fit and I found a fiment problem with the front bumper and diffuser. I will post pic later. Good news is that the chasis and interior are done. Thanks for looking
