thinking of buying

i have a chance to buy a 97 dakota slt club cab, 5.2 auto with 3.5 limited slip rear, 71000 miles, very good shape. i was checking this forum for any problems related to the dakotas, and wanted to know anything good or bad about them. i can get the truck for right at $5000. any thoughts?

Re: thinking of buying

decided not to buy. ball joints were shot at 70,000 miles, paint was shot on the roof, and i didn't care for how the tranny felt.
