Nice shocks. Scratchbuilt?
But I think the brake discs are a bit thick though.

Hi Everyone,

Thank's for all the kind remarks, but I don't think it looks so good up close. I am always amazed at how good my kits look in photographs.

To answer some questions, It is a Tamiya kit, and I have added a small photoetch sheet from some japenese company I found on the net (I can't read the name........ it's in Japanese). I have also used the seat belts from S27, Modelers braded lines and hose fittings (not yet in any of the photos), as well as carbon fiber decals from Scale Motor Sport and Fanticy Print Shop (UK). And also the Faux Fabrix from SMS, (Very hard to get hold of out side the continental US, I found a place in Germany who has it!)

The disc's are too thick, but they are the standard kit part, I am thinking of removing them and drilling the vent holes in the ends, that would help give the illusion of being thinner, but because the wheels will not be removible you will not be able to see the holes or the fact that it is too thick.

I have scratch built the shocks, I followed the instructions from www.msmodels.co.uk , the guy who does this site has some realy good tips that are easy to follow. This process was lots easer than I first thought, infact this is my first attempt.

I have painted the base colour onto the body, I am now avoiding spraying the clear coat because I dont want to mess up the nice gloss finish. Then I need to spray the black line around the body............

A quick question now, in the instructions it says to use diffrent lenght wing mirrors on each side????????? All the reference photos don't show this? Any comments?

I will attach some more photos..... if I can find that link again.......

Amazing work. And welcome to the forums.

I hope mine looks as good as that when I do it. Thanks for the site that showed how to make shocks. It looks really easy to do.
