Honda Tranny Fluids
I think my tranny fluids for my 5spd teggy is well overdue. Honda recommends me to used there genuine Manual Tranny Fluid. I was wondering if there's any other kind of synthetic tranny fluids or additives out there that i can use rather than Honda's?

synthetic oil in the tranny = bad news.
My integra manual recomends 10w-30 motor oil.

hmmm.. What kind of difference have you seen after changing your fluids? better mileage? quicker shifts? smoother shifts?

Re: Honda Tranny Fluids
just use regualr 10w-30. That is what i use in my trans and what we use on customer trans unless they state otherwise.

Re: Honda Tranny Fluids
if you use 10W-30 motor oil in your tranny your gears are more likely to grind. you should use honda tranny fluid FROM the dealer. and if you race or 'try to race' your honda, then you should swap your fluid every couple oil changes with oem tranny fluid

OEM tranny fluid is 10w- 30 hate to tell you. labels are amazing aren't they? and to tell you the truth i would use quaker state 10w-30 over honda 10w-30 any day of the week. for the same reasons i would drive a honda car over a quaker state car any day of the week.
