Question Locking features on my Accord

When I got my Accord it already had an alarm installed. When I start the car the doors lock automatically, when I shut off the car the doors unlock automatically. When I insert the key into the lock and turn once my door unlocks on my side, when I turn the key and leave it there for a few miliseconds all four doors unlock. Are these standard features on a Accord LX or are these possible features of the alarm?

Thanks for the Help.

Mine was simialr. Is your alarm the honda one or another manufacturer? The driver's door key thing is a function of the car's power door locks and the locking of the doors when you start and unlocking when your turn off the engine is a function of the alarm. at least this is true on my car with an aftermarket audiovox pursuit alarm that the dealer installed. there is a dip switch in mine that i can set to to turn off the later lock/unlock thing in the alarm.

Well, I don't know if its aftermarket or Honda dealer installed.
I don't about yours but mine came with a little red light installed right beside the shifter and a button to disable the alarm under the dash. The installation is set up pretty nicely. Does yours come with a controller?
I guess your right though, the locking/unlocking when starting the car or turning it off seems to be part of the alarm. The key movement is standard.

it may say on the remote. if it says honda then it probably is one from the factory. if, like mine, it say pursuit or something else then it's probably something else. probably doesn't matter as far as your question. i think that those are sources of the functions in question, but if you want to change the lock/unlock thing you'll need to find out who makes the alarm.
