Arrow PCV Hose..Electrical Tape..

I changed my pcv valve today and noticed the upper small hose has hairline cracks. I literally went to 6 places, 6.. us1, autozone, pepboys, home depot and more and couldn't find a damn hose like it-or even bigger to cut it to size.

US1 had a much longer hose that was $9 bucks, lol. All i need is a little 2inch elbow hose. Anyway, i tightly wrapped the hose with electrical tape to seal up any air being sucked in-would this work for a while until i get a new hose from the ford dealer..?

The hose didn't seem to be leaking, so i just put the tape over it as a precaution.

Thanks man. Yeah that electrical tape sticks on good. I figure if the hose was transferring liquid (anti freez/gas etc) it WOULD NOT be good. But being that the hose if anything might suck in air from the cracks it's good to use rubber/electrical tape. Almost like patching a tire from the inside air pressure or suction=good seal.
