Ford Escort rear wipers

97 ford escort wagon rear window wiper problem, work
but do not get all of window, how is the adjustment
made? Wiper skips over alot of the windjow.

Is the glass cold? Use the rear defrosters and see if this helps.

i have same problem on my 99 even in warm weather the top of the wiper misses window completely

Mine did the same thing. There is a pivot and spring where the arm will swing out that allows it to stay in contact with the glass. Spray the piviot and spring good with silicone spray and swing it back and forth a few times to free it up.

Good suggestion mlw. Make sure you press it against the glass firmly every time you lift it to clean the glass at the gas station or whatever. Make sure it is the proper size blade as well. I think it is a 14" or 15" blade. There are 3 different sizes for each of the wiper blades.

My 96 was doing the same thing.I sprayed it with WD-40 several times but it didn't help.I finally went to a junk yard and got another wiper arm.Problem solved.It is easy to replace.

By the way,the wiper is a 14" for the back.
