Gettin it together

yea so I know a lot of you guys here are noobs but here's how the system is gunna be....... I'm ordering a panasonic cq-c8100u yea yea i know its not a 9835 or eclipse or n e thing really good but i like the eq and i definately like the looks and have played with the unit and like it so don't talk shit. My subs and sub amp is in 2 resonant engineerin sexxx 12's....custom made d4's....Avionixx 1200.2 Ill prolly run this for a while it WANGS then try to get a 2000-2500 watt mmats or cadence amp......For my front stage I'm debating on the DLS ur6 CDT hd62 and adire koda set....really leaning towards the HD62.....for that amp I'm gunna use my pioneer for now that was powering my subs it does like 100x2 or something shitty like that.... Ill prolly get something like a 300/2 or avionixx 400.2 later on most likely Ill get sr20's avionixx off him. YES IM DOING REAR FILL Ill prolly get like 4 6.5's for looks but not fully power them I'm gunna glass them on top of the rear deck.... Ill prolly go w/ some jl's quarts or somethin good but cheap off ebay.....ittl be a while before I do that though..... amp for it iunno... Electrical system.... big 3 big 3 big 3 big 3 big 3 dammit BIG 3 but yea I got a yellow top and 150 amp alternator. I got a mustang so I got another DIN left and don't want a damn EQ I'm not a SQ nerd like SR20 I like it damn loud and good SQ but not crazy..... might do a VERY cheap dvd screen and a VERY cheap dvd played in the center console iunno that's WAAY down the road....for now a black carpeted piece of MDF will do....... but yea post some comments.... Ill get pics when it starts looking better It looks bad now.

I guess it's possible since I've never heard them, but I kinda doubt it

the koda has the cone area of a 7, the excursion of a small sub (5.6mm linear, over 7mm max, one way), a 40hz Fs, a heavy cone, and a very powerful motor. It's really a low end monster, very audible output at 30hz, and the pair in my car can hit 110dB at 50hz before distortion. They can be beat, but it would be very hard without going to an 8 or an extreme excursion mid (xxx, extremis, etc).

the hd's have the same mids as the edis, and while I've never heard a comparison between either of those and the kodas, I have heard some people complain about the midbass output of the edis, which is something I've never heard someone say about the kodas.

If you're looking for midbass, just get the extremis mids, an audax or lpg tweeter, and a pair of amps to run active

Wouldnt it make more sence to use XXX motors and suspension with SE coils and cones. XBL^2 and more xmax.... of course then it would just be an XXX with coils with slightly less inductance.

Re: Gettin it together

No b/c the xxx motors are what makes then damn things so expensive.... What this does is raises power handling by a lot and yes you do have more xmax b/c the se motor suports mucho amounts of excursion.

Re: Gettin it together

nope.......... xxx's aren't very efficient......... sexxx's are always louder then xxx's in the same box no matter how much power ur using.... like not a lot but still louder...... the sx on the other hand WOAH its like 1.5 db louder then the xxx with any poewr in the same enclosure and yes it can handle just as much power.... same coils.... the xxx just has more LINEAR throw then the sx b/c the xbl^2 motor will allow for more linear throw with a shorter coil.... the xsus and xmag is like the same or VERY close on SX's and xxx's along w. sexxx's

Re: Gettin it together

If you were going to get the koda set, adire was running a xmas special for them for $225. I should have gotten mine already, but they took a little break so i had to wait a little longer. They should be here on the 10th or sooner.

I think I will also get a nine.2 to power them. I was also thinking about getting some of that edead v3 stuff (anyone here ever use it?).

How would avionixx amps compare to the edesign ones.
