Jeep Cranks but won't Start

My 99 Cherokee Inline 6 cranks but won't start.

I was in the process of installing a remote starter. Everything worked fine (remote start and key start) until I decided to wire up the parking lights to the remote starter. At that point the above mentioned problem started. Thinking the remote starter was causing a problem, I removed the entire remote starter and put everything back to stock condition and still no luck.

I've done a bit of searching on this symptom (strong crank but no start) and I see talk of the CPS coming up alot. What is the chance that the CPS bit the dust? While wiring the parking lights to the remote starter I had to wire up a relay and I got a spark wire I installed the ground. I'm wondering if I blew something? I've checked all of the colored fuses in the kick panel and under the hood.

Have you checked to see if you have spark and fuel. When you turn the key on can you hear the fuel pump relay click. Pull the coil wire and hold close close to any metal see if you have spark. If you have some carb cleaner remove the air filter hose spray some into throttlebody see if it starts. If it starts you have a fuel problem. CHECK THESE FIRST.
