Question 7 Series Original MSRP?

I am the new owner of a 97 740il. I traded my Jag XJS for it and love my new (old) BMW.

Does anyone have the MSRP of the 1995 to 2001 7 series? Did it change much in that time?

Ball Park figures are fine. I am jsut curious.

Thanks
Dan

The previous owners of my 1993 740iL saved the original sticker from my car if this helps.

$58,000 - base price.
$ 1,795 - cold weather package (heated seats + ???)
$ 1,000 - gas guzzler tax
$ 405 - shipping and handling
$61,500 - Total

I used Excel to guess the subsequent years using an inflation rate of 3%. From accessing the BMW site I know the number for 2004 is about right. So, 1993 is exactly right, 2004 is about right, thus the prices in between are probably pretty close.

1993 $61,500.00
1994 $63,345.00
1995 $65,245.35
1996 $67,202.71
1997 $69,218.79
1998 $71,295.36
1999 $73,434.22
2000 $75,637.24
2001 $77,906.36
2002 $80,243.55
2003 $82,650.86
2004 $85,130.38

Looking at your car I see that you have the rims I would like to get for my new purchase. I have a nieghbor who had a 740i 93' and had spent over 600 in repairs, loved the car, but was running out of patients for repairs and insurance while it was in the shop. She was telling my wife that she just wanted to give it away and I told her I would like to see it. You see, she always took it to the shop and those repairs were pricey. I agreed to pay her 1500.00 for it and she was glad to get it off her hands. After a quick silver paint job its good as new for me and looks great, except I need rims that are not stock. It is blue booked at 8-9K and I am still in the black with my new baby and would like to invest in some new rims and tires, used of course. Any hint on were I could find them cheap. I was on a few sites and the 18" packages are going for 1K and I would love to find something for less than that.

Re: 7 Series Original MSRP?

Look at the wheel exchange for replica M Parallel wheels. Many seem to like the quality of their product.
