What is this switch for??
We just bought a 1995 XJ6 and I don't know what the switch under the shifter is for. It's a two way switch that says "S" or "N"
Also what is the purpose of the U shaped shift pattern?)automatic trans I LOVE this car so far. Thanks :sun: |

The two settings mean Sport or Normal. In Sport mode the gearbox holds the revs and changes up later, meaning more power (great for overtaking or general enthuastic driving) - but uses lots more fuel. It's worth it though.

Thanks!
Thanks for the info.
The car is white w/tan leather interior, Alpine cd changer & I think it has traction control because I see "trac " light up upon startup. It has 108,000 miles but was VERY well taken care of by the looks of it. Also it came with a set of new Michelin tires. With taxes & plates we paid $12,100 at a local dealership in southern California. It looks like there are some buttons that be programmed for the garage remote control. Do you kow how to program it? So far I love this car, it seems to be very well made. |
