Completely new, looking for some help.
I'm completely new to the whole car audio thing. I'm looking to spend about $600. i have a jeep grand cherokee laredo. I listen to a lot of rap, but occasionally i'll listen to some rock and what not. I'm just tryin to see what will be the best options for someone like me. Thanks guys.

Re: Completely new, looking for some help.
Do you need compnents sub amp and head unit or just sub and amp need a HU? what? 600 is a nice budget for subs/amp and can even be good for a hu too but your not gunna get far with 600 looking for everything.

Re: Completely new, looking for some help.
sub/amp/head unit, is what i'm looking for. brands? models? $600 is just an estimate. my dad is the GM of a high end electronics store, so he is going to check and see what he can get at cost from his distributors. basically i'm just lookin for something that will bump like crazy with my rap, but will still sound pretty decent with stuff like linkin park and classic rock. So if i could get some models that are the best bang for the buck, that'd be great. thanks.

Re: Completely new, looking for some help.
Well for you head unit you ccan get sumthin thats pretty nice. Look for a pioneer DEH-P3500, DEH-P3600, DEH-P6500, DEH-P660.....Panasonic cq-c81800u..........Alpine CDM-9821, CDA-7874, CDA-9826, or sumthin along those lines..........your best bet for sub setup would be an RE SE 15 and a profile ca600m.

Re: Completely new, looking for some help.
well keep in mind that my dad can get some things at cost. so i might be able to get a better sub/amp deal through him. what are some brand names i should have him look up?

Re: Completely new, looking for some help.
well for something mainstream as good as the SE your probably still gunna pay more......JL w6v2 ummm that's the biggest that comes to mind...but try to have him get you a good deal on the HU and if he can get profile amps then a good deal on something that puts out at least 400 up to 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms..... or if he can fiund a better brand for cheap too (doubt as cheap as profile) then get that. Then get the SE 15 from RE.
