Yeah, I once had a friend let me take his miata out for a day (a very good friend). It was great. I have loved them since they were till P729, and I still love them today. They are wonderful. Glad you had fun, man.

I've never been in a convertible. I've had the opportunity, but I'm saving myself for that special car. You see, I'm not going to give up my convertible virginity to a mustang V6 auto, or a firefly convertible.
No, I'm going to wait for that car that means something special, something that fulfilles all of my desires. When it comes along, I'll give myself away, and I will experience infinite bliss....

I still dont see the point in convertibles (skin cancer, wind, weight, lack of structural rigidity, etc)

haha convertible virginity....

my first ride in a convertible was in a 98 mustang...... and in true ford fashion... we got half way down the street..... and the muffler fell off and the tire blew... and it was a BRAND NEW one...

ya i think ill stick to vette convertibles from now on..

Re: MY FIRST RIDE IN A CONVERTIBLE -- EVER

Structural rigidity? You do know that you can turn a miata upside down, and stack 2 more on top, and the windshield won't fold, right? There are so many rules and regulations I'm surprised convertibles are still made.

Re: MY FIRST RIDE IN A CONVERTIBLE -- EVER

I feel bad for all the lost non-miata morons who post out of ignorance on our forum....

I'll put my "firefly" convertible against any Vette or Mustang any day in a straight line or road course, and still drive away the winner.

And I have seen the aftermath of a Miata after it was in a head-on collision with an Expedition. And it wasn't the Miata driver who was air lifted to the hospital.

Next time you guys post in our forum, please actually have something to contribute.
