cassette adapter problems
I bought a cassette adapter so I could use an iPod in my 2001 Aurora. It worked fine for about twenty minutes, then it said "tight tape" and ejected the tape. It continues to do this eveytime I try. It plays for a minute, then ejects the cassette.
What exactly does "tight tape" mean? I'm trying to figure out if the problem lies with the Aurora or the cassette adapter. Thanks |

Re: cassette adapter problems
I would try another adapter first. I had an adapter at one point that was really hard to turn and it had problems in my ford tbird stock deck. Radio should be fine. Do normal tapes play?

Re: cassette adapter problems
I would take the adapter apart and remove the reels, they may be binding, I've heard of that before. They aren't required for the adapter anyway, they're only there for asthetics.

I have a laptop and I'm tired of keeping it on the seat. I have it wired to my radio and have GPS with some sweet navigation on it too. |

I'll probably just try another adapter. Thanks for the replies.

Re: cassette adapter problems
My wife holds the laptop on the roll. No mount, that'd be too ugly.
