Post 1998 blazer problem, please help!!

hello,
i bought a 2nd hand 1998 blazer half a year ago. it worked fine. now i haven't driven it in 3 weeks, and i only have the key, not the remote. when i try to start it, the alarm system sound comes on. i cannot start it. i dont think the battery is dead, not after 3 weeks of not driving it. it sometimes happened when i had the remote and i would press disarm on the remote and the alarm would turn off and i could then start it. what do u guys think it is? just that i dont have the remote or something else?
please help.
thx

u should be able 2 bypass the alarm if u find the alarm brain under the dash try unplugging the brain most starter kills are by passed by disconnecting power to the brain if this doesnt work try and find the big yellow coming from the steering column this is your starter wire its probably cut for the alarm re-connect this back together if u still have problems then ck all battery connections. good luck

do not mess with any yellow wires in the steering column.......one of them is for the air bag system....is the security system a factory one, if so you should be able to go down to gm and get a new fob for the security system so it all works right.....

I think this one might be beyond you capabilities bro.

Take it to a shop and have them repair it.

Wiring is not something a person with no knowledge should be messing with.
