ok I am at the proverbial lunatic fringe here........
need to know how to get the drivers side window to go all the way down....it stops maybe 6-7 inches down and makes a loud brrrrrrrrr noise along with that the door locks do not work - checked the fuses(thats not it).......heater core install - help! and when the car is in park it revvs when it idles and then evenutally dies out(vaccum prob?). My car dealer guy won't touch - he's too busy so I want to be assertive so any help would cool. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sounds like your your window motor is on its way out or the mechanism in the door is binding. Pull off the driver door skin and take a look. As far as the door locks, pull the switch assembly and check for current. The likely problem is the rubber boot where the wires enter the driver compartment from the door. Some vehicles have problems with the wires chaffing. Heater core is not too bad, but you need to remove the center console and the heating duct in the center underneath the dash. You will need to pry a bit and might crack it (I did when I did mine, but some plastic weld fixed it and it doesn't show). For the idle, check your vacuum hoses, clean your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve or replace it, and if that doesn't fix it, replace your TPS (throttle position sensor). I would suspect the IAC is gummed up.
