security system problems, help!

93 jeep grand cherokee limited, have had alarm problems for more than a year. just changed water pump and alarm auto on when reconnected battery. would not cut off and we tried locks and remote. removed dash and took out black alarm box but still won't stay running. security system still engaged. is there a way to reset the main computer? thanks!

With the black box connected and battery connected turn the key in the rear hatch lock. This will hopefully reset the system.
