SiR Rear Seats

I really dig the headrests on the rear seats in the SiR. You think it wouldnt be so bad to find a beat-up (or cheap) set of front si seats so I can take the headrests and pull out the locking mechanism and fit it into my rear seats? My seats are in really good condition, so I'd rather not search for a set of SiR rear seats (and plus they might not match my interior anyway). Any ideas/suggestions?

damn, now I'm contemplating the Del Sol seats. Anyone know if they fit or do you have to mess with the rails?I think I'd still rather have the SiR look, but the Del Sol seats look like they sit lower, which would be nice since I'm kind of tall.

You will have to end up messing with the seat rails in order to get it to fit but they will fit. And yes the del sol seats do sit a little lower on the rails so it would be nice for a tall person.

Frounts are exactly the same as the USDM Si. no point in getting JDM ones.

Backs are similar to the USDM Si, but have the head rests.
Their a straight swap into an 4g or 3g civic. (they just sit a little high at the shoulder on the 3g). Theres a little plastic clip on the side you pull out, the seat slides sideways and come out. easy as, like changing a toilet roll.

Ill buy the next set I find, and tell you first. send me an email to remind me [email protected]

Some pics of the SiR seats I've seen show the seats to be gray as the main color (with gray headrests) and black with red lines as the middle section. Is this true for all of them? I like the color combo of my Si that are the same seats but black as the main color and gray with red lines in the middle. Thats why I was suggesting just taking the black headrests and fitting them to the back of my existing seats. Or I might just say F it and get some del sol seats for 225. Although I sat in a del sol the other day and they didnt impress me all that much, I just need something different on the interior.

Setanta! could post a pic of your seats. thanks mate.

They are a dark charcol colour, (black) same as the USDM Si. Only differnce I can see is the head rests.
I thought about fitting frount head reasts to the back, but it won't work.
the back ones are smaller so the fit under the roof, and dont obstruct your vision to much, and so they look right. Remeber the back of the car is lower, including the seat hight. Head rests from the frount seats will look to tall and out of proportion.
Plus theres the diffcultyin mounting them in the back of the seat.
