Digital Compass seems to be off by 90 degrees

I'm struggling to calibrate the compass on my 2000 Windstar van.

It appears to be off by 90 degrees.

I've tried all the different zone numbers to try and compensate for this, but it doesn't change it enough. It seems like the sensor has shifted (moved) so that I can't even calibrate it. Does anyone know where the sensor is located? Is it replacable?

Thanks in adavance....

It is replaceable. The compass on my '99 went crazy @ 15k miles and was replaced by dealer under warranty.
The elect diagram describes the compass module to be located "Center front under side of ceiling". ????

The compass sensor is located just behind your rearview mirror. When I purchased my 2000 windstar the compass was out by 180 degrees and then I noticed this thing hanging from my rearview mirror. Turns out that is where the compass sensor is and once I turned it around and clipped it back on everything worked great. Hope this helps.
