I have a 1990 Honda Prelude Si...I just recently noticed that when the car is sitting with the engine running, under the exhaust pipes it is black. I believe this is oil since it has been using alot of oil lately. And I was wondering where the oil was going. This car sit for almost a year before I put a new transmission and clutch it...also had gaskets changed and tuneup(plugs, wires, filters and so on). Any ideas of what will fix this problem?

Re: Oil Coming from Exhaust??
If oil is coming out of your exhaust pipe it will come out in the form of white smoke - the heat from the engine will burn up any oil way before it makes it to the tailpipe. If you're seeing a dry black soot-like build-up on your tailpipe your probably seeing burned fuel which means your engine is running too rich - you need a tune-up.
