Hello, I have a 95 Bonneville and have been having the same electrical problem with it for about a year now. There are many times that when I turn on my headlights in the morning and I have no interior (dash) lights and no tail lights........... Usually they will start working by there self. Recently they went out all together and have not cam back on. I replaced the headlight switch (I do not have the twilight switch) and still do not have any interior lights or tail lights. I checked all the fuses and the bulbs and all is fine there.............. Any help on this matter would be greatly appeciated. Thanks

I have had the exact simlilar problems with my 95. I would bang on the dash baord to turn the dash light a tail lights. After while this actions did not work.
The problem is that your wire harness conenctors that plugs into the switch get loose. What I did was take the 2 colored shimes that are on each side of the connector, and wrap one revolution of electrical tape aound the base of the shim. The re-install the shims. This should fit a lot tighter and not hold the delphia pin connectors firmly angains the copper pin on the switch. This seems t obe working for me in the cold and warmer weather. Hope this is helpfull. |
