sqeeling noise
2000 Blazer LT. When its started on cold mornings there is a sqeeling noise from the front pully area of the engine. What could this be? The alternator, tensioner and serpintene belt have all been replaced in the last 8 months. After it warms up noise is gone.

Re: sqeeling noise
I know you said that the tensioner has been replaced but is it at the proper tension it should be? I read soemwhere (not sure where sorry) that when you relace it you should check it a few weeks later and make any adjustments needed. That is all I can think of with my knowledge (sorry don't have too much).

Its the back of the belt rubbing against the top pulley. I end up replacing the belt each year because of squealing/chirping. Mine too chirps when it is cold and goes away after a minute or so. If you want to be sure, spray a quick shot of wd40 on the belt contact point of the pulley and you will find the noise will go away.
