I noticed this yesterday.
Cruising at low speeds around 30mph or under, my car will buck, or kinda jump on it's own. Today, she stalled on me, starts up everytime, but stalls once in a while. The check engine light is on now. This only started happening yesterday, and today. Here on LI it's really cold (15 degrees) and we have like 4 inches on the floor. Could this be a clogged fuel filter..? Intake..?? Tomorrow i'm gonna take a look at my throttle body, see if maybe it's clogged or anything. Everything was fine up until this cold weather. BTW, all plugs seam fine, and distributors etc. I first thought it was the tranny shuddering, but it wasn't, it's definetly something with either the air intake, or fuel, i think... |

Re: Stalls, Bucks, Whats Wrong..??
Forgot to mention, last week i changed my oil and used 5W30, which is recomended.
Also, i been using 87 octane for the past month, before that i had used only 93 premium to get rid of some pinging. I read in another thread that changing from 93 to then lower can mess things up..? |

Check your codes. It could be a clogged filter or injector. Changing your oil would have nothing to do with this problem. Your car is meant to run on 87 octane fuel.

Hey, thanks, went to autozone, it came up as the mass air etc. I bought some stp throttle cleaner, and gave my entire intake a cleaning, along with the maf sensor and the temp sensor. The front plate at the throttle body was badly gummed up with carbon etc.
This made it stick at low throttle, some dude told me the winter road salt can do that over time, thanks god for air filters.. BTW, the problem is gone totally, i disconnected the battery to reset the ecu, but my engine light still stays on. |
