Question TACHOMETER Help

I just got this gauge, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...942426207&rd=1


And i dont know were to hook up the wire that tells how fast your engine is running, i dont know what its called tho. You know what i mean tho right, i have a 1990 mustang Gt. witch wire do i hook this thing to. and the other wire to i dont know were to put it. My hole gauge has 4 wires 1 ground/black, 1 Power/red, 1 Tech wire i think that is what its called/green, and 1 white wire i dont know what this wire goes to ether. please help me.

Red is a switced power source. Black in the ground. Green in the Tach lead. White is the illumination wire.

The red wire can be run in line with the fuse box, or do like I did and splice it inline with the radio power wire, which is switched.

The ground is any good chassis ground you can find.

Green, tach lead needs to run to the negitive side of the ignition could.


White illumination wire can be wired into the fuse box on the headlight fuse, or the headlight switch itself.
