Re: Questions about CSC

CSC works very little on Tamiya paints. It works very well for stripping Testors and also stripping chrome parts.

You'll need alcohol or brake fluid to strip Tamiya in a timely fashion.

For stripping Testors I usually give it a day, pull it out and hit the model with the back side of a sponge. Most of the paint should come right off.

Chrome parts will strip totally, without needing to scrub, in less than 4 hours.

Re: Questions about CSC

i just found out using DOT 3 brake fluid in the cold doesn't work as well.....it gets quite viscus. but in warmer temperatures it should be off in 2 or 3 hours or less, or it will be dissolved enough that you can just wipe it off.

take note, when i tried to strip something that was puttied the putty disolved. not sure if this is your case but i just wanted to add that.

Re: Re: Questions about CSC

CSC was pretty slow for me. I found that DOT3 is the best by far. DOT 3 worked better for me than Isopropyl Alcohol also
