I need the exact location of the fuel pump reset switch.

I was installing a remote start system on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT and i was istalling a bypass module to let my car start without a key. My car then decide that it was being stolen and now the only thing that happens is that my starter keeps cranking. I asked around and everyone I talk to says that I need to push my reset button for my fuel pump. I have torn apart my trunk and still haven't found it. If you have any more specific areas for me to look please reply. Thanks.

Sorry bud but you have been given bad advice. The Grand Ams nor does any GM product that I know about have a fuel pump reset. Only Fords do and that is for when you are in a collision. On fords when it senses a sharp jolt it will cut off the fuel pump for safety so if your in a wreck the motor doesn't continue to run or pump fuel. If this were the case on your anti-theft all someone would have to do is go back there and reset it. What you have to do is leave the key in the ON position for appx. 10 minutes. The system should reset itself.

Yes, but that only works when you have everything connected correctly. What module are you trying to use? Sounds like you have it hooked up wrong.

Re: I need the exact location of the fuel pump reset switch.

I was using a module capable of GM Passlock 2. And the leaving the key in didn't work but I'll try it later when I have all of the wires and other stuff out because i'm taking it to a dealer to get it reset if this doesn't work. Any other ideas I'm open to them. Thanks

What wire did you tie into for the module to do the bypass? It's suppose to hook up to the purple wire on the OBDII comm plug under the dash. I believe it's the the second pin on from the left side on the top of the plug. Plus you also have to "teach" it before you attempt the first start by remote. This all depends on what module you are using, but that is basically how they work.
