sorry, but a fast and furious question because i'm curious... not NOS dont worry...
hey maxima guys i'm usually in the honda forums but i have a nissan question... you all know the blue maxima in F&F (sorry i mention the movie) but 2 questions. did it have a rear bumper mounted exhaust? like, exhaust out the side of the rear bumper?
and what the hell was that damn clicking noise? like when he pulled up to torettos store thing? you know what i mean? that like spinning sort of rotating sound. wierd but i bet you know. just curious... not 'ricing' it

That guy gave stillen an ungodly amount of money to modify his car. Yes the exhuast stuck out the sides of the bumper. The clicking noise was most likely from the S/C. I think It had a V1 and those things are noisy, but hey, that movie was full of special sound effects, so who knows?

I've looked online and the exhaust seams to be something custom. A supercharger shouldn't "click" just whine or make a suck air sound. But that movie had all sorts of B.S. in it which is great for entertainment value, but realistically speaking some of that stuff just isn't possible.
Speaking of that particular movie, I saw a Supra in Houston over the weekend that was a dead on replica with the exception of being red where the movie car is orange.

The side mount exhaust is no longer on the car. Craig took it off since it rated the car as "Extreme" in the car shows. He was getting his but kicked in the "Extreme" category. He actually sold the Supra to some guy overseas. And now rolls a Skyline GTR R34 (SICK). He is a good freind to some of us SoCal member down here. He hosted MCC meet #1 and parked his Max with us. Gave us the VIP treatment. He said there is about 3 replica supras in the US, but the original one is over seas.
