x pipe on a camaro???
yes yet another exhaust question. i have been getting mixed reveiws on this. i got a 86 thats about 8 days away from getting its 350 with full length headers. im gonna need exhuast is there anyone that makes kits for full length headerd third gens. some ppl been saying theres no way in hell i can run duals and have to fabricate some sort of an abortion of a y-pipe i want cutouts btw and a single cutout is just not gonna do it. anyways some ppl say its very possible to run duals and i can even have an x-pipe, i even wouldnt mind a single exhaust kit with the dual tips in the back for those headers. heres the thing i dont want glass packs they suck and sound like shit. anyone got any ideas?? im most likely gonna have this custom bent which isnt a big deal i want quality. and well i can go with open headers for only so long.

Re: x pipe on a camaro???
it'll work as long as you have plenty of clearance underneath, like by raising it an inch or 2

Re: x pipe on a camaro???
i dont see it being worth the benefit. thinking of an x-pipe on a fourth gen really wouldnt work, so i imagine an x-pipe on a third gen would really work either, but i could be wrong ofcourse...

Re: x pipe on a camaro???
Cant you just get some larger tubing for a y pipe? Sometimes something working well is better then HP gains. Installing a 3.5 inch single exhaust would allow that 350 to breath just fine. Hell even a 3 inch would work fine.
