Re: Brake Drums off How? buick century 92
It sounds like the shoes have worn a ridge into the drums. You'll have to loosen the brake shoe adjuster rod. The back of the backing plate has rubber plugs where holes are getting at the adjustor. Use a screwdriver to turn and loosen the adjustor rod.
If you can't unloosen the adjustor rod, then alternately, a second way of removing the drum is to cut the heads off the brake shoe retaining pins that protrude thru the back of the backing plate. |
