Re: looking for 4:11 gears
Nothing for Corvette is ever "cheap", especially when you start talking a car 40 years old. "Zip's Corvette parts" in Mechanicsville, Virginia (they have a website, but I don't know the name of it) has a multitude of parts, including rear ends.
I might suggest a 3.90:1 or 3.73:1 for the "feel" of lower (ratio, not numeric) gears, without the "teeth rattle" of 4.10s... The 4.11 (really 4.10, but I won't quibble over .01 of a ratio) gear will make for good accelleration up to about 110 MPH, where that 327 will promptly run out of breath. 3.73s will offer near the same accelleration, and give you an additional 20 MPH top end. A little easier on gas and parts, too. FWIW |

Re: looking for 4:11 gears
wanna hear somthing funny? the 93-95 rx7 automatic rear has 3:90, and the manual has 4:10 gears and is stonger than newer z28's-hinsonsupercars.com, make ls-1 conversions and keep the mazda rear end, so they could sell you the costom parts and maybe cheaper than the vettes.

Re: Re: looking for 4:11 gears
All I can say is call Jegs. They should have the gears you want. Most Richmonds run 150.00 or so for 4:10's...
