heat problems

With in the last couple weeks my heat would not work and would just be semi warm, and when i had my buddie look at it he told me that i needed a new waterpump, could that be why my heat was not hot it was just warm?

Re: heat problems

Seems to me that if your water pump went out that your car would overheat. Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open. Is the car warming up to the temp that it normally does???

Re: heat problems

ya it warms up to the normal temp, if it was the thermostat it wouldnt even heat up. but i should get it back friday, i talked to him today and he had it done but he still had to put it back togeather, so friday i will see if it has heat or not, if it doesnt i think it might be the heater core or something.
