aternator ?
i'm looking into upgrading my alternator with a higher voltage one. now i wanna get one with at least 100 amps or more that will simply bolt and plug in. i just wanna add that i relocated my battery to the trunk, so i don't know if thats gonna affect the stock wiring or not with a higher volt alt. the car has a 800 watt audio system, with brighter headlights and fog lights. any input would be great thank you...

www.paperformance.com... they sell the alternator i have installed. works beautifully, and only requires a couple crimp-on terminals to work (though you should go out and buy heat-shrink waterproof ones to be safe). that and a little bit of grinding on the alternator bracket, which can be accomplished with a drill and a rotary file if necessary. get the 4ga. charging wire to be safe, it hooks up to your starter relay and is easy to install.

those alternators from paperformance won't bolt up to a 5.0 with out a little effort. the transition is simple and can be accomplished in under an hour, but get ready to do a little grinding on the brackets. make sure you get a warrenty as some of those third party alternators use a fiber glass insulator that tends to wear out.

You can get an alternator that is used on 92 or 93 Ford Econolines or Trucks 95 or 130 that wll fit the same bracket. The wiring is the same as the ones from pa performance, but no grinding was necessary. All u have to buy is some connectors and a bolt for the stationary side.
