Transmission Question?

Well I was talkin to somebody about how VR4s transmission r not that relible, well he said that the Galant Vr4 has a lot better tansmission and I can swap it with the tranny on my car.

What do u guys think?
Is it all that different or is just the same?
Is it worth the cost?

I've never heard that before. I don't see how it would be any better, the Gallant is a much lighter car even if the transmission could be mated to a 3KGT.

vr-4 trannys are just as reliable as just about any other trannys. the problem is the output shaft/t-case being insufficient for more power than stock and the unavailability of replacement parts for the tranny to fix worn out parts.

galant trannys would probably not handle the added power and weight as well as our stock trannys and it would be very hard to match up to our engine.
